Toward the end of the pandemic, I set up a collection box at my school to gather discarded disposable face masks at the end of each day. After months of testing, deconstructing, and rebuilding, I transformed these materials into a dress made entirely from recycled masks, using only a zipper and thread as additional components. Beyond its visual impact, the piece serves as a statement on sustainability, proving that with intention and persistence, even the most disposable materials can be given new value.
